The Irving Downtown has released an updated exterior rendering of the new eco-friendly, pet-friendly rental community coming soon to the historic River District in Downtown Fort Myers, Florida.
With rezoning approval from the Fort Myers City Council, The Irving Downtown will increase the number of residences in the building to a maximum of 98 units. A preliminary exterior rendering created especially for the City Council meeting by the development’s architects, Baker Barrios Architects, provides a glimpse of the updated 12-story concept.
“We’re adding new units, but the essence of the building will stay the same,” said Rebekah Barney, Alzada Company Owner & President. "The Irving’s concept will always be a blend of sustainability and artistry, comfort and luxury. It’s an innovative and nuanced balance that both contributes to the architectural excellence of Downtown Fort Myers, and complements the area’s uniquely charming atmosphere and historical significance.”
Located on the northeast corner of Bay Street and Lee Street in the heart of Downtown Fort Myers, Florida – between the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center to the south and the Caloosahatchee / Yacht Basin to the north – The Irving Downtown will feature one-bed and two-bed market-rate rentals with spectacular water and city views, and a variety of superb amenities and services, including a garden-style amenity deck with a swimming pool and ambient lounge areas, 24/7 maintenance, and a complimentary bike rental program.
“We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from City Council, the Community Redevelopment Agency and throughout Downtown, and we take our responsibility very seriously,” Barney said, noting that, along with Baker Barrios Architects, general contractor DeAngelis Diamond and interior designer Dwayne Bergmann, The Irving team is committed to meeting and exceeding green building best practices every step of the way.
“This new rendering is only a preview,” said Ryan Anderson Vice President of Development for Alzada, “And more detailed imagery and sample floor plans will be released as design development is finalized.”
