Featured pianists, Sarah Hadeka and David Rode will take audience suggestions for the next song in their setlist. However, it’s up to the piano players what songs will be featured. Audience members are encouraged to sing along to some of the greatest piano hits of all time by musicians like Billy Joel, Elton John, and Queen.

July 15, 2022 | Songwriter’s Round Hosted by Sheena Brook featuring Slim Gillian

Experience an evening with singer songwriter Sheena Brook and Slim Gillian performing live! Sheena Brook is a Mainstream Artist with a laid-back style and an energetic vibe, who appeared on NBC’s Season 12 of The Voice, where she was picked by Adam Levine to be on his team. Slim Gillian formed the popular rock band Fellowbliss, was a founding member of Gypsy Native, and is currently working on releasing new music for his traditional Irish band “The Rowdy Bards,” including the new solo EP “Mighty Fine,” available everywhere.

August 19, 2022 | Singer Songwriter Competition

Support local original music! Come see performers play for a chance to win prizes and a spot at the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. Competitors can submit a video of themselves performing an original song (entry deadline is August 11), and selected artists will be invited to perform live at SBDAC on Friday, August 19th in front of a judge’s panel and a live audience. Judges will determine the Grand Prize Winner, and the audience has a chance to vote for the People’s Choice Winner!
